Voimalaulu on yksityinen helsinkiläinen laulukoulu, jossa voit opiskella pop-, rock-, jazz- ja kansanlaulua sekä musiikinteoriaa.

Voimalaulun opetuksessa tavoitteena eivät ole kurssitutkinnot tai muodollinen pätevyys. Harjoittelu ja realististen tavoitteiden asettaminen ja saavuttaminen on tietysti tärkeää. Tärkeintä on kuitenkin nauttia siitä mitä tekee. On yhtä monta syytä ja tapaa harrastaa kuin on oppilaitakin – kaikki syyt ovat yhtä hyviä.

Voimalaulu is a private singing school where you can study pop, rock, jazz and folk singing plus music theory. Teaching takes place in Helsinki.

The objectives of the study are not in "becoming qualified" to sing. Practice and setting realistic goals and then achieving them is important. But the most important thing is to enjoy doing it. There's as many reasons and ways to have singing as a hobby as there are students. All of them are good reasons, singing is for anybody!

The teaching can be flexibly interwoven with music theory in practice. Styles and interpretation are combined with technique training. Learning to read notation, a lot on breathing technique, rhythmical training... It all comes together. And what should a singer know about microphone techniques, pa-equipment and studios?

There's no upper age limit when you can start singing as your hobby, but as a thumb rule you should be 16 years old to begin to practice for real. This is because of the development of the human body. Students are taken in in the order of appliance. Lessons are usually given as 45 min or 1 hour periods per week. If you wish, you can also take more than one lesson per week.
